Xi Jinping meets with Mexican President Lopez

Last year, the two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Chongqing, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership. At present, the strategic, complementary, and mutually beneficial nature of China Mexico relations is constantly highlighted, and mutual understanding and support on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns are becoming more firm. China attaches great importance to China Mexico relations and is willing to work with Mexico to strengthen strategic docking, tap into cooperation potential, leverage complementary advantages, and push bilateral relations to a new level.

The bilateral trade volume between China and Mexico has increased by over 7000 times compared to when diplomatic relations were established, and there are numerous highlights of cooperation in areas such as railways, automobiles, and new energy. Both sides should make good use of the working mechanism between the two governments, deepen cooperation in traditional fields such as infrastructure construction, expand cooperation in emerging industries such as finance and electric vehicles, and deepen cooperation in drug law enforcement. Both sides should actively support each other in organizing cultural and artistic performances, cultural exhibitions, and other cultural exchange activities, close multilateral cooperation, firmly uphold multilateralism and democratization of international relations, and uphold international fairness and justice, as well as the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries. Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China Latin America Forum. China is willing to work with Mexico to promote stable and far-reaching relations between China and Latin America in the new era.
